About Descipher, LLC

Descipher produces knowledge-based products for consumers and other nonexpert users to simplify science and technology. Since scientific knowledge is expanding exponentially, it is difficult for even experts to keep up and it is virtually impossible for the layperson. Our objective is to transform complex scientific and technical knowledge into a language and format that is more easily accessible by the general public.

Descipher's unique flagship product, Argo™ Software, is a tool that combines medical knowledge and pattern matching algorithms to find diseases and other conditions that are compatible with the clinical laboratory test results entered into the system. The knowledge base is a work in progress and will always be changing since medical knowledge is continously changing. We hope our customers, whether they be patients or health care professionals, will find this product to be a useful supplement to their usual medical resources and will begin to rely on this tool to reach more accurate lists of diagnostic possibilities without overlooking the less obvious possibilities. We believe that the field of medical knowledge exceeds the capacity of any given individual no matter how smart or well-trained he or she may be and that computer-aided access to the knowledge is important to achieve the best medical care. This tool could clearly help patients think about and study their own conditions. For the primary care clinicians, it provides some additional depth of knowledge in the more esoteric aspects of medicine and, for the specialists, it can serve as an aid to identifying and managing concomitant diseases and conditions that are not within their particular specialty.
